Fr. Juan M. Zárate was born in Mexico City. His parents are from Oaxaca and currently live there. He is the youngest of four brothers. He was ordained a priest on May 17, 2008 at the foot of our Lady of Guadalupe in the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City. God gave him the opportunity to serve in several parishes in Mexico City and work with various parish groups, including children's catechesis, choirs, charismatic group, family movement, socio-charitable pastoral care, youth group, seniors, etc. On July 1st, 2021, Bishop David Ricken officially appointed him parochial vicar of St. Philip Parish, and entrusted him to support several Hispanic communities in the Diocese of Green Bay. He is very happy to be here and to be able to help. He enjoys hiking and nature.
