About Our Parish

In the summer of 1938 Fr. Theodore Verbeten was appointed as the founding pastor of St. Philip the Apostle Parish and on September 8, 1940 Bishop Rhode dedicated the church, eight classroom school, convent and rectory.  Growth of our parish community called for an expansion of school facilities in 1949 and 1959.  Due to the challenges of demographics, 2006 saw the closure of our Catholic school.  In the Fall of 2019 we welcomed St. John Paul II Classical School to our parish.

Presently we offer two weekend Masses in English and two in Spanish, and our Faith Formation program reflects our parish membership by offering classes in both English and Spanish.  We embrace the Vision and Mission statements of our Diocese as we strive to respond to the diocesan pastoral plan of "Disciples on the Way".

We have a wide variety of ministries and services in both languages, many opportunities to volunteer your talents, and we would love to welcome you to our parish family.  We echo the words of Saint Philip, "Come and See".

La Parroquia de San Felipe el Apóstol es una de tres parroquias en Green Bay que tiene un buen número de miembros hispanos.  El Reverendo William Hoffman, comúnmente conocido como Padre Bill es su párroco.  La comunidad parroquial cuenta con personal y boletín bilingües que brindan más información sobre las actividades en la comunidad y como participar en ellas.
