Holy Eucharist (Communion)
Eucharist is about: "GIVING THANKS" (which is the meaning of the word), "REMEMBERING" (the Last Supper - "Do this in Memory of Me"), and "BEING" (Jesus, broken & shared - we are called to be "broken & shared" with others).
The celebration of the Eucharist, which is one of the Initiation Sacraments, is the CORE of our Catholic Faith; everything else flows out of the Eucharist: parish life, ministries, daily life, relationships. We gather at Mass to share our stories, to share a meal; then we go forth to be Eucharist ─ to be Christ for one another.
Preparation for First Communion in our Faith Formation Program is a two year process. Registrations for the new school year open in May.
If you are interested in preparing your child for First Communion/ Eucharist, please contact Maura Vazquez, Faith Formation Coordinator at (920) 468-7848 or send an email to mvazquez@stphilipcong.org.
